July 27, 2009: Limbaugh Says Obama, Democrats Want Conservatives in ‘Bondage,’ Says He Dreamt of Being a Slave Building a Sphinx ‘that Looked Like Obama’

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh, discussing the idea of allowing China and India to be exempt from certain restrictions on pollution that causes global warming, mocks American liberals and Democrats for claiming to have a level of compassion for the world’s poor that, Limbaugh says, they do not have. Limbaugh says: “And yet these are the people on the left, the liberals, who tell us that they have all the compassion and they, they want people freed from whatever bondage they’re in. And yet when you listen to people like Barney Frank [D-MA] and Barack Obama, you understand that they have a different idea of bondage, and that’s us [conservatives] in it.… I had, I had a dream, I had a dream that I was a slave building a Sphinx in a desert that looked like Obama.
