8:51 a.m. September 11, 2001: Last Radio Contact with Flight 77

2001-09-11 8:51 a.m.

The last radio contact with Flight 77 is made when a pilot asks for clearance to fly higher. However, six minutes later, the plane fails to respond to a routine instruction. Presumably, it is hijacked during that time. Indianapolis flight control center is handling the plane by this time.
